Where are we going this year?
Our journey this year will take us to the island of Haiti. We will learn about a land that looks quite different than the one we are blessed to live in. We will learn that even though the people on this land live very differently than we do, it is full of people that were created by our same God who created us and we are to love and respect all of his people. We will also have a very special opportunity to reach out to these people and offer our love and help.

What will my children be doing each day?
The boys and girls in Wee Discover and Discovery Camp will be learning about children who live on the island of Haiti. There will be story times,
music, cooking, art projects and games that will represent the Haitian culture.
Discovery Camp children will attend five classes each day. They will experience a most creative learning environment as they take part in fine
art, crafts, culture, cooking and music.
What does my child need to bring to camp?
All campers should come dressed for art camp. Dress for mess! Campers will need to bring a smock identified with their name on it. Each day,
the campers in Discovery Camp will need to bring with them a lunch, clearly marked with their name, along with a drink. We do not have access to
a refrigerator or drink machines. A snack will be provided for the boys and girls in Wee Discover. Children in Wee Discover will not need to
bring a lunch as the camp ends at noon.
Where do I drop off and pick up my child?
For car-pool drop-off and pick-up: Turn from Edgewater Drive onto Stetson St., then continue down the street and turn right into the parking lot
behind the church building. Please use only the rear door off this parking lot. There will be signs for Discovery Camp and Wee Discover drop-off
and pick-up. Our work crew and Administrative Assistant will be there to receive your child. After drop off or pick up you may continue through
the lot, turn right onto Yale, then proceed back to Edgewater Drive. Please note: If you need to speak to the camp administrator or a teacher,
please park your car and come in because the car pool line will need to move quickly to avoid traffic hazards on Edgewater Drive.
When you are coming to pick your child up at the end of the day, please place an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper with the name(s) and the team numbers
of all campers you are picking up in the passenger side corner of your dashboard, visible through the windshield. Please print clearly and use a
dark magic marker. This will help to speed the process. Your child's registration confirmation and team assignment will be listed under our "confirmation page". Please remember to allow time for this info to be posted.
If I need to come in, where do I park and what doors do I enter?
Parking: If you would like to park and come into the facility with your child, there is parking behind the sanctuary (between Stetson and Yale)
as well as behind the church gym that is between Yale and Harvard. This is also where you will park for the Friday Evening Celebration.
We want to assure each of you that your child's safety is our top priority at Discovery Camp. Please know that we take very seriously the safety
and security of our camp at all times.
